Choose colour when it communicates something important.

B&W works well for text-first notes and reports. Colour earns its place when it is needed to distinguish information, such as a labelled chart, a highlighted correction or a map key.

When B&W is usually enough

Choose B&W when headings, paragraphs, equations and diagrams remain clear without colour. Before ordering, view the document in grayscale or print-preview mode if possible. A pale yellow highlight or light-blue chart line may be hard to distinguish once converted to B&W.

When colour protects meaning

Colour is useful when a reader must distinguish categories in a chart, follow coloured annotations, read a map legend or compare highlighted revisions. It is not automatically necessary for every screenshot or page background. Remove decorative colour that does not help the reader.

Example: selected colour pages

For a 20-page report with two colour charts on pages 6 and 14, review those pages carefully and use the order form’s selected-colour-pages option only when it is available. Enter the page numbers exactly as the current form requests. The remaining pages can stay B&W if they remain understandable.

Check the live choice, not an old order

Available colour options and pricing are shown in the PrintBee order form. Review the current selection before payment; this guide intentionally does not quote prices because they can change.
